Small Rigid Heddle for Backstrap or Table Loom Weaving

This compact rigid heddle is thoughtfully designed for backstrap weaving but is also versatile enough to be adapted for use with a small table loom. Its size makes it ideal for travel, workshops, or weaving in small spaces without sacrificing functionality or quality.

• Dimensions: 13 cm x 9 cm (5 in x 3.5 in)

• 39 dents at 8 dents per inch—perfect for fine band or narrow strap weaving

• Made from durable Baltic birch plywood, known for its strength and stability

• Finished with linseed oil to enhance the natural grain and protect the wood

Included with the heddle is a 24 cm hardwood shuttle, typically made from Ash. The longer length makes it especially handy—it not only carries your weft thread but also works beautifully as a shed opener and beater. This dual functionality makes weaving smoother and more efficient, especially when you're working without a loom frame.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced weaver, this small but mighty heddle is a reliable tool that offers flexibility, portability, and beautiful results.
